About ONPAR Middle School Math Tasks
What is ONPAR?
The ONPAR approach to assessment design makes use of dynamic, multi-semiotic representations and carefully constructed stimuli and response spaces to minimize construct-irrelevant text while still targeting cognitively complex content and skills.
History
The middle school mathematics project, completed in 2018, applied the ONPAR methodology to middle school mathematics assessments.
The project was led by Rebecca Kopriva, PI, Laura Wright, Manager, and a core team comprised of Monisola Olubuyide, Kyle Schultz, Linda Malkin, Blake Meyers, Ellyssa Eiring and with support and assistance from many other staff.
